Handling like crap- front end mayhem

Lately the bird has been veering sharply to the right when i go over a rough spot on the road. However when i am on a nice even patch of road, the car goes generally straight. i know i need an alignment, but this sounds like more to me than just a lack of alignment. I got under there and everything looks ok, just wondering if you guys could give me a good direction to sniff in for the problem. Thanks.

Start with the alignment and go from there.

Try back-halfing the car, putting in a 4-link and some wider (18") rear tires. Also, put a 570ci motor up front to help with weight distribution. Sometimes if your not close to 65/35 front/rear distribution it'll pull a little.
