In fact, Chevy is one step behind Porsche in quality, and Mercedes-Benz is in the very back of the pack way behind Ford, Dodge or Chevy.

Mercedes is still fighting through a wiring harness problem they had a few years ago. The problem lies in that most Mercedes are dealer repaired, and the "mechanics" at the dealers have no idea how to fix the problem, so they just start changing hard parts. My father experienced the problem on one of his 3 Mercedes. A few years ago Mercedes Benz started manufacturing wiring harnesses in Eastern Europe. Those wiring harnesses have shown to have a very high defect rate. The problem has since been rectified.

Most of that research is based on dealer repairs and warranty work. I wouldn't give it too much credit since the source of information is not from a knowledgeable source.

Umm, Kurt J.D. Powers and Associates is pretty widely recognised as a knowledgeable source.

I'm talking about the sources J.D. Power is quoting.

How can you be considered a "knowledgable source" if you quote bad sources? If you agree J.D. power is a good source then the places they quote must also then be good.

Their sources are owners themselves.. i can't think of a better source for the kinds of problems they are talking about.

Yeah, owners who take their cars to places who do shitty service, and don't get it fixed right the first time like I said in my first post. How much clearer can I make it.

A problem is a problem regardles of who does the work to fix it. Not to mention the fact that the poll only accounts for 2001 and later model cars which means that most work is being done at the dealership because it is usually still under warranty. That research poll is what the industry goes buy regardless of if you agree with it or not.

Besides: We all know it must be accurate look who is at the bottom:barf: Izuzu, Daewoo, Kia

Yeah the V8 Trailblazer is on the way, that should be sweet.

Does anyone remember that Twin Turbo Trailblazer concept they brought out a while back ?
That was saweet. I've heard the SS Silverado is getting a blower, so we'll see, but they definately have a long way to go to get to Lightning/SRT-10 territory.
