F-Body guys,

A bud of mine needs the following:

-Plug wire on cylinder 6 changed
-EGR valve changed
-MIL Eliminators installed

I don't think it would take long, this is a guy that's interested in the club...I told him some of the guys here could help him work on it: the dealership wanted $700, he lives on campus and has no tools, place to work on it, etc.

He should post up soon, what would/how long to fix these simple things?

- Wire on 6 shouldn't be tough at all.
- No idea.
- They're called "O2 simms" by us F-Body guys. Should also be easy.

Why would he have a problem on the number 6? That's one of the easier ones (unless he has certin headers like my macs can be a pita then.), 2,4, and 8 are a bitch to me. I have a lot of tools and I life in McKay, if he wants my help just have him ask. I'll gladly help a fellow f-body guy out. O2 sims aren't to hard ither. Can't help on the egr, never did it. Have him ask in LT1 tech of www.camaroz28.com, i'm sure they can help.

EGR valve is up on top next to the intake manifold. The new part will look like the old part, its just an unbolt and swap operation, shouldnt be too hard for him unless hes never opened the hood before.

Also on the O2 sensors you listed 95-6 on 95 there are only 2 but if he owns a 96 they upped the number to 4, two in front of the cats and 2 behind. So make sure he gets the right number, also get some breakloose in a spray can, cause there bound to be tight and you dont want to break off the head and have to drill it out.

Spark plug problem isnt a big deal just a pain on the nuckles if youve got big hands.

All and all it shouldnt take you more then 2 hours depending on how many beers you drink in between fixing stuff.
