Someone please tell me why I would want to buy a programmer for my car. I went to superchips website and all you can do is reset your speedo, change the temp at which your fan turns on and change shift points for the auto tranny. Where is the 10+ hp I hear about? Will, maybe you can answer this one. I thought these things were supposed to change your fuel and timing graphs ???

they do. They just have added features like speedo cal and such...frankly I don't like off the shelves programers....and they don't make enough improvemant to warrant 300$. you won't feel any difference, 10rwhp is nothing, can't feel that.

Want to really make a diff, save your money and spend it on real power adder (blower or nitrous or heads and cam) by the time you mess around with those unsignificant bolt ons, you could have spend that money on a 150 shot...and THAT you will feel! :)

i would look into a diablo predator for a programmer.ask dennis at action performance (252-2632)about them.he has alot of knowledge about them and i have seen him dyno tune some cars with them.they also sell them.i had one for my 99 z28 and 02ss and i think they are far superior to superchips and hypertech.

There are a couple of OBD 2 programmers out there. They basically advance the timing for better performance. They also make small adjustments to the fuel tables. If you have an automatic, a programmer is a necessity. With a manual transmission you can get a timing adjuster that does basically the same job.

Yeah they are pretty much right, you arent goin to get much out of any of the tuners. If you get gears then they are a help besides that ... I wouldn't really worry about it. You can try mine sometime if you want to, just let me know.
