Well since im going to be pushing 500 crank hp when I finish rebuilding the motor,

not sure my 2 bolt main will hold up. Just to be safe.

Do any of you guys know anywhere or anyone selling a 4 bolt main bare block lt1 or lt4?

I appreciate it thanx

2 bolt will be fine for that, easy. But no...I don't know of any 4 bolt blocks at the moment. :)

How much nitrous are you putting to that thing Chris?

you could splayed it to 4 bolts...it's usually stronger than a regular 4blts....do some research you'll understand why.
2blts can hold 500 hp...don't spin it to much though...

I have 2, One of them is for pete however. They are both out of Cop Cars and have iron heads, and as far as i am told, 4 bolt mains. If anyone can confirm this that would be just wonderful. Let me know if you are interested.

Chris!

Are you positive they are 4 bolt mains? All I need is the block not interested in heads or anything else i got all that.

Can you find out if it's a 4 bolt?

I'll find out about splaying cause i never heard of that

Thanx everyone

chris

p.s kurt with the set up i plan to run im looking at 400 hp to the crank and then a 100-to 150 n20 shot

Chris, unfortunately they are not 4 bolts mains, according to P2. He said the onlt 4 bolt block was the LT4 block, so you might wanna consider the splayed option, sounds pretty good to me. Let me know if your still interested in a block.

You don't need either. 4 bolts are for more rpm, not more power. The first two bolts take all the parallel load anyway. The extra 2 bolts are just to keep the mains from walking.

Very true!Not a lot of LT1 F-body failures.They are 2 bolt mains.Something to consider.

The fact that it is an Iron block should make it strong enough to handle that much power, like Kurt says, more bolts=more RPMs.

18 Degree Billet Steel Main caps with ARP studs in the centers and 1045 bolts on the outers.

Mmmmmmmm. That's what I have on my block.
