First one will spool earlier, and will support 650 to the wheels @~. second one will support 650 to the wheels @~33psi but costs more and has some nifty features like antisurge. The GT42 flows 95lb/min or somewhere near 1000hp crank, but realistically about 850hp @35psi to the wheels with a good bit of lag. 750rwhp on a supra @ 25psi.
that last one, obviously costs a buttload :p i can get it in dual ball bearing, which will make it spool at ~4000 like the t61
sucks, because lag is only in 1st gear, and i already have the bottle. I dont know what would actually be quicker, though.
this is actually a very difficult decision for me. Id be going for around the same HP with each of em, at least initially, which makes the bigger ones look nicer, room for expansion. 650 to all 4 wheels is all im lookin for right now. man, aint life tough :p

that is really my first choice. I can get them at a good price, and it's got a standard flange, so a bigger turbo is always just a few bolts away. it wont lag much :D

yea, I've got a miata in the works.... with a proven motor that will make 425rwhp at 15psi. None of the "my car will run 9's" blah blah blah, I have no idea what it will run. I don't really care, but it ought to be fun on the street, and even more fun on a road track (which is why I build it). Not everyone wants a 4000+ lbs hypotechnical sled that ought to run 9's ;)

I think things such as these have put you in a bad light....
From this..
This car has already run an 11 second 1/4 mile all turbo and will run a high 10 at worst when I get done with it.
To this...
Also, going by what other cars with about this much into them have run, ill be 10s or damn close to it in the quarter mile.
And finally this....
When it is done (if noone wants it before that) I will get a slip
They dont take BS and i dont say my car can do anything it cant. I never really show it off, either, so i dont know where the hype is coming from, by i have some funny stories about it.
I can tell you this thing is an absolute beast, and even with the stock turbos on there it demolishes almost everything in ERMCA.
There are VR4s with less mods running doing low 11s all day, off the bottle.
Anyone have a bench racer icon?

Come on, it's what you do best? Bring that big pig down to sebring, or up to robeling road... I bet ya cook your brakes on the third corner ;)

you'd have better luck picking on a different part of my car ;)
oh, and i had a 911 before this car, i didnt buy the vr4 to road race. its just a fun car that i always wanted to own. i (as in me) wouldnt ever pick an awd car for the road-course, nor a tubo car. gimma a GT3 over a 911TT any day :)
lemme guess, you wanna auto-x me now? :p
good try, but it's not valid. The GT in 3000GT means grand touring. I dont know what kinda race you drive for those, but if you find one, ill go against your miata :)

here (http://expha.com/CTECH/SHOP/work/brake1.html) is some more :D
i think youll have better luck picking something like oh... my rear wiper. Or maybe the 18inch chrome wheels that came with the car. Yeah, too bad i dont have those anymore or id be a fat pig. So whats up with this miata? I should mod a vr4 similarly and go road race it, that would be fun. Though id prefer road atlanta since faster cars do better there ;)

would a stock Z28 beat a stock VR-4 or a stock miata at road atlanta? Throw a stock Mustang GT in there for good measure.

nice brake info. I suppose when the car weighs 3000+ lbs, you need big binders like that just to get it to stop hard 2 or 3 times in a row. Your car looks decent, and performs the way you want it, great. Supra's have big brakes too....they don't last long on a road track either.
Joe:
@ Road Atlanta...HP car would win hands down. Pick something tighter like Streets of willow, and you have a hard time driving around the miata. Believe it or not, the miata consistantly beats out some z06's at the gainsville auto X. NOT a tight course by any means (last 3 times I went there).
I'd pick the Z personally. On a road course, one that is decently smooth, who gives a shit about the solid rear axle?
btw, I can't PM you, it's blocked? Do you still have some of those AN fittings left over?
I thought you had a riced out dsm na before the VR4, at least that is what you've said before.
