Hey Guys! This is Ray. I used to be an ERMCA member, but I graduated from Riddle in 2002, and now I'm writing from a foward deployed location in the Middle East with the Air Force. The temperature here averages around 140 during the day, and about 115 at night. It's great to see that the club is doing well, and I hope to be back down in Daytona with my car as soon as they let us come home (hopefully in the next month or so).
Speaking of the car, I've made a few changes since the last time it was in Daytona:
- Custom one-off ZL-1 hood (same as John Moss)
- 150-Shot. NX kit (12-lb. Carbon Fiber Bottle mounted between the rear seats)
- Upgraded MTI valvetrain
- 6-point NHRA legal Roll Cage
- Bassini Off-Road Y-pipe (connecting to full-open Borla)
- Hurst Shifter with short-stick
- Lingenfelter Whisper lid
- 315/35-17's on the rear (actually...those have been on for some time)
I think that's about it. I haven't dyno'd it in a while, but I have thrown the car sid-ways on the highway with the bottle...so traction is definately an issue. Otherwise...I'm looking towards MTI heads and a big 'ol cam for my next project (.591 - .612" lift). Hope that you guys are well, and maybe we can cruise whenever I get back from here!
P.s. -
Eddie - Egypt looks amazing at FL310!
Rich - The Monte looks awesome!

Hey Guys! Well, I'm not able to say specifically where we are, but it is hot, dry, and unfriendly. My squadron flies the KC-10A Extender (can't kick a** without tanker gas). It is pretty cool...but it will be nice to get home. Bruce Willis came to visit about a week ago...and I got to greet him at the jet...which was way cool. My Camaro could definately fit on the plane, but we're living out of tents and stuff...so we couldn't bring our cars. How are things in Daytona?
-Ray
NKAWTG!!!! From a forward deployed location in SW Oklahoma... Altus, that is.
Dude, I graduated in 2002. You weren't ROTC, were you? What do you do with the second greatest tanker in the world up at McGuire?
A Gucci-boy living in a tent... imagine that.

Hellz Yea! Gucci-planes are the only way to fly! You asked what we do with the second greatest tanker in the world? We pass gas to you 135 guys :) KC-10 is, of course, the greatest tanker in the world...Gettin it done!
Yea, I grad ROTC at Riddle in 2002. I commisioned later in the summer though, because I had to finish my commercial-multi.
How do you like Altus? What do you do there? Have you been back to Daytona since you commisioned?
- Ray
I meant what do you do. Do you drive, boom, crew-dawg or what? Altus sucks, but I'm making the most of it. I'm TDY at the RTU here for initial qual in the 135. I'm stationed at Kadena.
What's your last name? What did you do in ROTC? I was aero sci too. I have no clue who you are. I was a sqII/cc fall 2001 and went back to being a stealth cadet in the spring before graduation.
Between UPT/CST/RTU I havn't had any leave time. Hopefully I'll make an appearance in Daytona within the next few months. We'll see.

I'm a maintenance officer for the KC-10's. I'm waiting on UPT in the spring. I was down at Altus in May for some training. It's alright...kinda out in the middle of nowhere though.
My last name is Tierney. I wasn't much involved with ROTC, pretty much just a stealth cadet the entire time. The actual Air Force is much better.
Maintenance is cool. I've been TDY a lot since I've been in. The advantage is you get to travel from the beginning. However, I'm anxious to get back into the cockpit. What is your name?
Ray, dude, it's Auerbach. Wasn't I your squadron commander one semester? Yeah, you were a stealth cadet :dork: You're right... active duty is great. Especially being TDY.
Been running into a lot of the Det 157 Mafia out in the force. It's good to know we got one more in the tanker world.
Drop me a PM sometime.

Haha...Hey dude! Small world, huh? That is very cool that you are in tankers too. I was trying to remember what ROTC guys had a fast stang! Hows the car treating you anyways? Still slower then my SS? Can't wait to get to UPT!

Unfortunately I don't have a pic of the car with me...but we got word that we will be rotating back to the States soon...so when I get back...I will post a current picture of the SS. You can see a picture at the ERMCA gallery taken during a club cruise...
