Ok i know you all told me not too. But i couldnt resist any longer i wanted to go faster. Ok here is what i have. Pace Setter header. 2.5" exhaust. T-44 turbo with manifold (not installed yet) new venom intake manifold. JE forged pistons. H-beam rods forged. custom cam. and i have a new race built tranny on the way with a stall converter. I need wheels and tires. But the cool thing is my car still looks like it did. I cant wait to get the new motor finished. I would like to find an aluminum head. I have bigger valves and lower ratio rockers. I need some input for an intercooler and cold air intake setup. What do you think?

So you're gonna run what....16's?
The Grand Am guys run 15's stock (like me), and with a turbo, only get into the mid to low 14's. Which still isn't really fast enough to do anything. Its just not worth the money.

Whats the new compression for the motor? do you have and FMU? You will need new injectors, new fuel pump.
put it together, then have sombody dynotune it, unless you want to go with DFI. Do your homework, and the car will run 13's on race gas and 25psi.

HAHAHAHAHA yeah. my car runs 13s stock; 25psi and race gas is like... whoa.
WHY DID YOU DO THIS? thats like 2k worth of shit right there low estimate. Dont do it, just DONT. Buy a fast car dont try to make scrap fast. You can find a VR4 for like 5k that will run fine everyday, theres 13s stock right there. You probably will never see that with your crapalier. :gtfo:
Cold air? yeah, thats gonna make a huge difference with that turbo on there. What kind of 'advice' are you looking for on an intercooler?.. i say.. use one :eyebrow:

I dont think i am going to use the turbo. I am just going to build an all motor car. The new injectors are 255cc i have a venom ecu controller. the cam is 475 lift 110 lobe separation. the motor was bored 60 over i put 9.5:1 pistons for a 350 in it. it has a k&n cold air kit. i need a bigger throttle body. the stall converter is 2800 rpm. I want to put line lock on it. I am getting sport compact drag wheels and drag radials for now. I have made my own traction bars and chassis stiffners. I would have sold the car and bought a new one but i couldnt sell it its got mine and my moms name on the title. they wouldnt let me so i built this beast. If i run 14 in this car i would have picked up 3 seconds from where i was. I would be very happy with that. Remember i was running 17.9 at 76 mph. I cant wait to hit the track once it opens its only 15 minutes from my house. its brand new.

Dont be a pussy if you got the turbo, put it on, and crank it up.
If you were smart, you could do a 2.4 DOHC swap, my 97 cavy winter beater has that motor and its FAST, it really moves out. GM sells a bolt on supercharger for that motor.

Sorry for the confusion joe. I looked at the wrong list i made. I now have my reciepts in front of me. the pistons are from SRP. They are for a ford 2300 motor. The rods are eagle rod h beams for my motor. That may help to clerify things. Sorry for the different info. The pistons only have a 30 over bore. The # for the pistons is SRP-148221, and the rods are CRS5765C3D.

You could buy a Jeep... my Cherokee ran a 16.2 @ 85 mph with like a 3 sec 60' :hahano: Thats a lot faster than a 17.9 at 76. Good luck, you will need it.
