Where in Edgewater? what's the name of the shop?

BNO Performace. It's on Guava Dr. Take US-1 to Edgewater. When you see an Eckerd make a right. Make a left on Guava Dr which is right before the tracks, and it's on the left hand side.

BNO's phone number is 386-427-0390. You will probably need an appointment.

BNO is a very good shop. Eric knows his stuff...he builds motors for race teams. I went there a few years ago to dyno the Monte, he gives your car alot of personal attention while it's on the dyno.

Do they have a Wideband o2? Wonder if he'll give us a deal on a group rate or dyno day or half a day??

he has always been the one doing my pulls.

Last time I was there he didn't have an 02 wide band but he said that he is getting one soon.

HORSEpower

He keeps saying he's getting one, but I never see it. He doesn't really do group rates. He's a professional, and sticks to his rates, because he can afford to.

Suck. If he's a professional he should already have one, good for business and excellent for tuning. :D Oh well...who has a dyno w/ a wideband o2? TIA

Kurt - I said when I dynoed the Monte "a couple of years ago." That being with the old set up.

Not bad at all but u said that it should be running in the mid 12s. How were u gonna accomplish 12s with that kinda power? Just curious

Pay attention, that was with the OLD SETUP. The car ran 13.81 with that setup. You would have known that if you PAID ATTENTION. Just like I would have known not to ask what the new numbers were had I being paying attention.

Yes, I actually do recall the Monte at the track. Believe it or not, Rich used to be a track whore.

Oh yea, come someone enlighten me on wut an O2 Wide band is and how it works? thank you

It's an O2 sensor and gauge, but wayyyy better than any stock one. A kit costs about 700, whereas a narrowband (stock-type) costs about 125. It reads the O2s the same way, but it has an unlimited, linear, scalar range. Instead of, like a Narrowband (NB), saying "You are lean" or "you are rich", or approximating the o2 using linear voltage readouts, it says "your A/F ratio os 12.45:1".. and thusly lettying you tune for the magical stoichiometirc numbers.

You can buy one for your car for $500ish, but one that is good, proven, and reliable is gonna go for $700+. You can also buy what are called DIY kits, where you built the circuit yourself, but you have to be good at soldering and breadboard layout to mess with that. Those go for $300ish i think. For more info, go here:

Alamo Motorsports (http://www.alamomotorsports.com/fjo_wideband.html?source=overture&OVRAW=FJO%20wide band&OVKEY=fjo%20wideband&OVMTC=standard)

There are all kinds of thing you can adapt to the FJO kit. IMO, it is the best. You can see the price of the WBO2 sensor is $187, not that much more than stock, but it is the logic box that costs a lot. This is because of the hyperbolic tendancy of oxygen consumption vs. unburnt hydrocarbons in exhaust vs air fuel ratio. It's a wierd thing, and most of that $ your spending goes to the digital hardware needed to do that kid of computation. Ok, im getting a little too technical... that is all for now.

GOOD news!

I found this place that sells WB o2 sensors for $3xx!!! This is awesome. Im serious, if you guys wanna pitch in like $20 (each, per share; or more), ill throw in $200 and you can tune your car anytime you want with it, and ill keep it on my car ( I NEEED one!). Either way, i think ill be getting one once i start getting my stipend and/or get a job. This is fucking cool! The website is:

Innovate Motorsports (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/index.html)

It's not as pretty as the FJO kit, but with this and an EGT (I also have a couple of those), you dont really need a dyno tune. IT DATALOGS TOO!!!!!!! With a serial port and cable included, you really cant beat it. Add on such as EGT, Dwell meter (cool as fuck), Ktype thermocoupler, induction (cylinder 1) pickup, and absolute pressure gauge (FI motors), this thing is gonna be a freakin awesome tool.

If anyone is interested in this, let me know, and for a little cash, you can have a perfectly tuned car! Im freakin psyched! Later.
