this is about header size, heads/intake flow numbers etc...you will be surprised as to what really works and what looks good on paper. Think that fency step headers and super dooper y collectors make any diff? think again...check it out. Also gives you answers to what is to big for header primary, oil pans, oil pumps etc

fluid dynamics actually did NOT agree with what those guys were sayin. I think they proved redneck hillbilly modding wasnt really the best way. yipee for them. :)

Also, the formulas for header primary size vs charge volume do change with volumetric efficiency AKA piston speed. ;) Jeremy, if you've taken fluids yet you may know about some of the reasons why.

1. HEADS, CAM, COMPRESSION - Cylinder heads, camshaft, and compression, will always be the largest determinants for the final power output of any given engine. More than 95% of an engine's power is derived by the "big three"; this was true in the past, and it will hold true in the future.

Thats funny all this time ive been depending on Throttle body size, underdrive pulleys and ported mass air housings as the big three.

you'd think so these days, ever hold a car conversation with the average kid?

anyway, it's a beginer oriented article, just gives an ideas of what's going on for our fellow youngens
