Well it looks like its getting to be that time. I am looking for any reccomendations on a good clutch that isnt too expensive and will take some abuse without worrying. For anyone who doesn't know me or my car, it is a 2002 Mustang GT. Lightly modded with occasional drag racing and maybe some road racing. I want something that will hold up to a some more power than im making for future modding. I am thinking about something like a Spec Stage 2.
What do you guys think ?

If you are going to do a spec just do the stage 3 it will dirve like stock once it breaks in. I am also a spec dealer if it will help you.

How much can you do a Stage 2 for ? I dont think i need the power of a 3 or the extra money. Also how much would a new flywheel be ?

Because i think my old one is going bad, its a stock clutch, is stiff on the engagement and seems like it is slipping just a bit moving it in first gear and reverse. I dunno, Ill probably get a second opinion before I buy one anyways.

I agree with Glen. Get a stage 3 if it isn't too much more money. The new stage 3s aren't hard to drive once you get used to them. Just resurf your old flywheel.

305 + shipping on the stage 2 530 ft lbs
370 + shipping for a stage 2+ 635 ft lbs
323 + shipping for a stage 3 695 ft lbs
224 for a billet flywheel
335 for an aluminum flywheel
It is worth the extra 20.00 for the three. It will drive the same once it breaks in and you never know what you might want to add to your car down the road. :naughty:

The only thing that kinda sux about Spec is. If you don't have one in stock, it takes a little while for them to build them. But they are awsome clutches. Took my buddy a month for his spec stg3 to get here.
