If you think it's bullshit then back it up...don't just call it cuz you can.
Did you watch the video available at the bottom? 1500 is very achievable with 15:1 compression and race gas (which it needs ALL the time). My hero picking a cam with .713 lift & 317 duration. :) The intake runners are 305cc, just to give you an idea...mine are 191cc. He's got some nice parts there to make a believer out of me. Very sweet ride.

Know, people who have raced him, the guy is 100% full of it. The car would be lucky if it came close to the 1000 hp mark. His lack of quarter mile times and dyno sheets are proof of it. Whenever one tries to sell a serious car like that, you have to provide a dyno sheet and a quarter mile time, that's why the car is only commanding a $23,000 bid. No one is going to buy a $200,000 car with no data on it.

I disagree. Why would a guy with over 300 collectors car(prolly worth millions) BS that kinda stuff?? And being that rich, you know this is not some tool, he has to be smart. No idiot would post a car for sale with number that he can not back up.
Now still i guess there is a chence he could, but i think an even stronger point is who built the car. Lunati builds high end motors. And altho your mustang will never be able to make that kinda power, Some people can. Do you think these guys running 6-8 sec 1/4 miles in NHRA are making only 500HP? no, altho many are n20 and FI, some are not and yes they can excede 1500 hp NA. like P2 said with 15:1, race gas, a cam with lobes 2x the size of yours, and heads like that i think its very possible
And the reason the bids at $23,xxx ummmm do you really think you can just sell a 200,000 car in 7 days? its not gunna sell over ebay

I don't think that is the kind of car you sell on Ebay; DuPont Registry yes, Ebay, no.

I think 1500HP is too much for this car, however, 1000hp is good enough to go 0-60 in 2sec.

This Lunati....hits 0-60 in UNDER 2 seconds!
I think you missed the key or operating word in that sentance. :D Takes some nutz to hit it in *cough*under*cough* 2 seconds. ;)
Also people that might be interested in a car like this sometimes wouldn't want it's results or paper work strung out all over the internet for everyone and their dog to know. Like was said, it was built to take people's money. :) There is probably a very good reason that the exact figures and time slips aren't available. I've seen cars of that caliber or more in person and it truely takes more than just pictures to appreciate it. The right buyer, which will probably take time for the word to spread around, would gladly pay close to what it's worth, of course he's not going to get all of what he put into it out of it...when the hell does that ever happen?? :dork:

did anyone else catch the fact that he called it an exotic?
admitted, i didn't read past 1 paragraph, but it looks like he's a choad with more money than sense, had someone make it fast, and now wants to sell it.
if any of you 'merican car owners in here called your car en exotic you should be lit on fire, thrown off a cliff into the ocean, and your remains fed to wild dogs... no offense to anyone.

No offence there josh but look up what exotic means. I think that YOU think it means foreign, but that cant be cuz no one is called 3cyl Fiats exotic...
Here, i looked it up...
1 : not native to the place where found
2 : strikingly, excitingly, or mysteriously different or unusual
3 : of or relating to striptease <exotic dancing>
I think he was right on

Did anyone else do a search on this car? If Lunati actually built this and was planning on making more than there should be a write up on it somewhere. I didn't find anything, so i think his plaque is a WALMART special and the guy is full of shit. And notice I didn't say that 1500HP was bullshit anything is possible. It looks to me like any numnut with $200000 to blow could build the same thing and stick his own plague on the dash. Just an observation if i'm wrong let me know. :bs:

Still trying every combination of words for a search and nothing. If this thing was for real he would be selling it at the Barrett Jackson Auction where they would authenticate the car, but he's not it's on EBAY. :bs: He also said he's invested over 220000 Instead of giving an original cost of the car and maybe he's even made modifications. Something you don't do on a Serial #0001, that would destroy the resale value which should be well over 200000 if this was a real 1 only modified by Lunati. :bs: And it's an 86 frame with a 96 body Maybe there is good reason for this, but it seems peiced together to me, not something that has been modified by a company like Lunati or Lingenfelter who does make some pretty nice modifed vettes. In summarry it's :bs:

What race car isn't pieced together?? It's an all out street killer and that's what it was built for. It would have been probably marketed as a kit or made available via Lunati only. It was stated that the project was shelved due to high expense in the end. I don't think it'd be very easy to find something on a shelved project that didn't have a successful outcome on the internet. If I was seriously interested in the car I'd call Lunati first hand and ask them about it. It's easy to see the $200k + that was invested to me. :boink:
Just my take on it...so I think you're wrong and you now know. :D hehe

I met the guy. He's a tool with far too much money. He doesn't even know what a Lunati cam is. The car cost over $200,000 to build because he got ripped off on the labor. The car is a little faster than the banana but not much more. The guy is full of shit. It's more like a mid 10 second car.
By the way Kenny, my next stang will be over the 1500 hp mark, and way under $200K. Just for your information, thought you might like to know.
