hey guys,
i have a buddy with a 90 something altima stick shift. it's got 180k on the odometer and the transmission seems to do weird things when it heats up (slip and so forth). he's just told me about it, so i don't really know much else. a few of you seem to know good people to work on a tranny round here.
please let me know good places and bad places so i can help him out.
thanks

yea that's what we both think... but he wanted to take it to an upstanding place that could tell him for sure and then do it.

Go to Volusia Drivetrain. Tim there knows his stuff about standard trannys. He will probably take it about and see if anything is wrong with it, but might charge to put it back together (No joke). Unless the tranny is clunkin', rattling, hard to shift, grinds or pops out of gear, it's the clutch and there is no need to take it to a shop to have it looked at.
