my mark keeps heating up and i tracked it down to the electric fan not working , checked the fuse and it was not blown. any other ideas what to check? need to fix it as soonas posable

umm the fan motor! try hard wiring the fan to the battery and see if that turns it on. or check the fan with a test light.

I second, my fan motor died and the car kept getting really hot at lights.

Check the motor first or take it to a shop and have them use a scanner to turn on the fan with thee computer, either will point you towards your problem.

or you could .......hard wire it to the battery to test the fans motor.

check the temp sensor switch that controls the fan (if there's any on you car)

its controlled by the coolant temp sensor thru the computer.

those go out alot on GMs. i replaced the one on my LT1 at 55K miles.

i got if fixed i just was not looking hard enough but it was a lose conection i cleaned it up and cliped it back to gather, that solve one problom , i keep loseing coolent but i never see any drip in the ground. i think it might be leaking by the heater core and driping on my manifold and turning to steam cuz i see it riseing out of the car every once and a great while
