For any of you guys who have heard my car start you know its kinda slow and the starter sounds like its gonna die. Well, its gotten worse in the past few days alone and I think its on its way out :dead: I can't seem to find an article anywhere on how to change it out and I have no idea how bad they are to get at. So if any of you guys know whats involved I'd appreciate any input.

How do you know its the starter? I was having alot of trouble starting mine too, and it ended up being a vacuum leak.

heres the 3 hour later update: my car starts really hard after driving it a bit and restarting. The initail startup isnt too good either, I just got in and I'm not sure how many starts I have left on that thing :\ So immediate input would be greatly appreciated.

might be the starter, could be a loose connection. check all the connections from the battery to the starter because it happened to me :( . ignition coil possibly....

Could be starter, bad battery/connection, bad coil, opti on the way out.
Here's a good article to tell if it's the opti or coil:

I'll try to find a how-to for the starter.

Here's a link to a diagram of the starter assembly:

Hope that helps somewhat.

It's the starter. Just replace it. It gets worse after awhile, because it get heat soaked.
